A view of the Main Reading Room of the Silas Bronson Library from the front of the building.
Silas Bronson Library KidZone

The Silas Bronson KidZone is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for Waterbury-area families, schools, and daycares to come together to enjoy books, computers, socializing and activities. Our librarians spend their time curating a collection that is sure to please even the most finicky reader and host programs that are engaging and fun for kids of all ages.

A vibrant library space filled with colorful books and toys scattered on the floor, inviting children to explore and play.

Stop in and say hello!  We hope to see you soon!

How It Works:

  • Grade 2 & Up: Read for one hour and mark off a circle
  • For every 5th book or hour read, receive a raffle ticket.
  • For every 10th book or hour read, receive a raffle ticket & treasure box prize.
  • Complete the log & get a miniature stuffy off the kids department wall.
  • Logs must be turned in on or before August 13, 2026 at 4 p.m.
