Social Security Death Index	Ancestry.com's Society Security Death Index contains records (death & birth) of deceased persons who possessed Society Security numbers and whose death was reported to SSA.  Database is available free for Ancestry.com subscribers and guests who register.
Association of Professional Genealogists	An international organization of professionals dedicated to sharing their research experience with others. All members abide by a code of ethics and their membership is renewed annually.
Greaterwaterbury.com	A comprehensive site providing extensive details of the genealogy and history of the Greater Waterbury area. Also provides travel information for those outside the region wishing to visit Waterbury to conduct research.
Naugatuck Valley Genealogy Club	Greater Waterbury meeting place for family historians and researchers.  Meetings are primarily at Middlebury Public Library once a month on a Saturday afternoon.
Connecticut Colonial Records 1636-1776	Great source for tracing early Connecticut ancestors.

Cyndi's List	A great genealogy portal to the internet; categorized and cross-referenced index to genealogy resources.   Over 120 categories as well as individual pages for each US state and each Canadian province. These are updated often; each new or updated link has a small graphic next to it which indicates its current status.
Godfrey Memorial Library	The Godfrey Memorial Library in Middletown, although privately funded and operated, is open to the public and is devoted entirely to genealogy and local history.  Resources at the Godfrey encompass all aspects of genealogical research.
