FRIENDS OF THE BRONSON LIBRARY BOOKSTORE Visit the Silas Bronson Library's Bookstore located in the East Wing of the Library.  Selections include hardcover and paperback books, cassettes and record albums.  Hardcover books are $1.00 and all other materials are $.50. The Bookstore operates during regular Library hours (Monday and Wednesday 9am - 9pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am - 5:30pm and Saturday 10-2pm).  GIFTS AND BEQUESTS TO THE LIBRARY Bronson Library's per capita City funding is more than 50% below average CT town library support. The City's fiscal situation has been stabilized. But improved City Library funding is not likely soon. In this information age, local government buys one library book per child or adult, in contrast to the average town which buys four. Consequently, private gifts are needed to buy additional books, and now databases, and programs for you and your children. You can help the Library. Gifts in any amount are always welcome. All gifts to the Friends of the Silas Bronson Library are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Memorial gifts for departed relatives or friends are a very special way to honor their memory. A bequest in your will is also a very special way to remember the Library and the entire community. Donors' wishes for handling gifts and bequests are carefully carried out.
