Friends of the Silas Bronson Library

The Friends of the Silas Bronson Library is a volunteer-run, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting the library's operation and mission through fundraising, outreach, and other volunteer activities. The Friends provide vital funding for library programs, especially those for children.

Meetings

The Friends of the Library meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the library's auditorium. See details at and Zoom registration forms on the library's Programs page.

Join the Friends

Membership in the Friends is open to all, not just Waterbury residents, with low annual rates. All members of the Friends receive the library's award-winning quarterly newsletter, Books & Happenings, in the mail.

To join the Friends, download and print the Membership Form.

Donate to the Friends

Donations in any amount are always welcome. Memorial gifts for departed relatives or friends are a special way to honor their memory. A bequest in your will is also a very special way to remember the Library and the entire community. Donors’ wishes for handling gifts and bequests are carefully followed. Gifts and bequests are tax deductible.

You can make a donation by sending a check to:
